I have a stratocaster from 920d custom shop and will be ordering another in a few months. There guitars are great guitars, basically they are mexican strats and teles that have been heavily modified. I keep my American and Japanese guitars all original. My 920d strat has seymour duncan everything axe pickups with custom wiring. I can activate the bridge and neck at the same time.(love this feature) Babicz roller tailpiece and shaller locking tuners for 750.00. I chose all parts and colors. It might not be a custom shop guitar, custom shop guitars are amazing guitars and I would buy one if I could afford it, but I didnt spend 5k either and got a guitar made my way.

Nice to hear. They certainly do offer an alternative in a Fender product. Just wish I could get a different neck shape other than the generic 'modern C'. I'd settle for the standard V-neck.

If you look at the cost of a MIM tele, a babicz bridge, [insert pickup name here], a new pearloid pickguard, new locking tuners, new neck plate, control plate to match tuners and bridge and neck plate, and new wiring components, then these guitars are a GREAT deal. You can't buy the parts and do it as well as them for less money. Don't listen to the guys who say otherwise as they have not done the math.
MIM- $599.99
Babickz chrome- $132.00~
Twang King set- $120 on Amazon
Hardshell case- $100

See? We are already over $900 and haven't bought tuners, pickguard, new wiring stuff(cap, jacK, wires, etc.)

920D(Sigler music) sells a tele like I suggested for $849 w.case and free shipping. GREAT DEAL!

Agree. They likely purchase components in sufficient quantities to minimize dealer's cost and maximize their profit margin such that they can offer the consumer a quality guitar at an attractive price and still remain a viable business.

Has anyone ever done business with Sigler 920D Custom Shop?
They take MIM Strats and Teles and upgrade the PUPS, tuners and bridge. Some of these sound great from what I've seen on YouTube.

The Strat I'm interested in from them has Duncan P-Rails with all kinds of splitting and tapping settings. The sounds from this guitar are incredible.

They also file down the rough fret edges and check the action and intonation.

Figured I'd ask around for reviews or advice about them.

Thanks for your help!

I purchased a Telecaster set of Area T's from them. Here's a video of me playing my MIM Thinline with the pickups.

Believe it or not, my current "go to" guitar these days is my Dlx Strat Plus. Here's a video of my demonstrating the Digitech Trio. I'm using a Classic 30 amp, and the "Blender" card with the pup selection of neck and bridge with a little treble cut.

A side note about the Trio: I haven't figured out how to use effects or overdrive without it altering the sound of the drums and bass, so I'm required to play clean.

I recently decided to get a pack of dimarzio's area set for my 62 strat and found this sigler shop. The odd thing is that the prices do not make any sense. I hope that you are right about how they might be doing this but it still doesnt make sense. For example a pack of area's costs 239.97$ and the same pack along with a 49$ worth of wiring kit still costs 239.97$ and very interestingly a loaded pickguard with the same pups and wiring kit costs 234.99 ( 5 bucks cheaper ). How could this be ? The only rational explanation might be that they are using different pups. Very old ones ( but not opened ) circa 2006 for loaded pickguards, slightly newer ones for wiring kit bundle and fresh ones as seperate packs.

I suggest the following:

Contact them and put the question to them with comparison pricing.[b] "How are you able to offer the following product at $xx.00 when purchasing these components separately at manufacturer's 'street' prices adds up to $yy.00?" "The disparity piques my curiosity"
[/
b]

OK... Feeling squeamishi...then write to DiMarzio and ask them why you should buy from Sigler instead of from DiMarzio direct. Either way DiMarzio wins. They're not selling to either at their cost. There's a percentage markup to either market on the supply chain.
