If you're citing this as a plus for you it's something which is not specifically listed in the current bridge specs for the guitar. Let's hope it still remains true yet not touted.

"Bridge: 6-Saddle American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo"

Quote from the specs page at this link:

http://www.fender.com/guitars/stratocaster/jimmie-vaughan-tex-mex-strat-maple-fingerboard-2-color-sunburst/

"American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo". The MIM Classics/Deluxes/Stds don't say that in their specs.

I have 3 older MIJ 54 type guitars, they're great guitars. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I saw one at a good price.

Really like MIJ CIJ Fenders, not sure why but they always feel good to me and the 54 MIJ felt really-really good and I loved that U neck! I've had a few MIM and MIA and although they are good they never had the mojo to hold my attention for long. This JV MIM with all the cool MIA bits and Tex Specials is the first non Japanese version that made me say Oh yeah!

Got that...Thanks. They used that in the LTD 60th Anniversary '54, but not in the 60th Anniv Commemorative.

I have a push/pull pot my '79 Strat to activate the neck and bridge pickups. It's a very Blind Faith Clapton-like sound.

This is how this one is set up as well although I'm considering replacing it with a standard pot and wiring. I just got done replacing all the wiring with pushback cloth wire, orange drop cap, new pots, new 5 way switch, Switchcraft jack, and copper foil along with a new 8 hole pick guard. Someone along the way had used an 11 hole pickguard so it was time to return to an original style version.

I saw that you had a quote about a '79 Strat with a push/pull pot that allows you to use the bridge and neck pup. Was that quoted from me? I have a Strat with the same configeration, and I often tell people that it gives me that, "EC/Blind Faith" sound.
Yes, it was your quote but it got botched up in the rewrite of my post.
That's cool to see a quote so far from it's original thread. By the way, that guitar is in the shop being rebuilt. I had a small leak from my bathroom and all the water sucked right into the body, causing it to split right down one of the seams. Also the neck needs to be re-done. Over all, this is going to be expensive.

At the momment, I've been playing a blonde '76 Strat I bought about a month ago.
