I am about to order the inexpensive American Strat that employs Texas Specials, has 22 medium jumbo frets, and comes in a couple of nice color options. I will probably buy the 2 tone sunburst for the 50's image, or Surf Green & maple neck. I have taken for granted that almost all of the 3 single coil models use anRWRP mid pickup for the noise cancelling in pos. 2 & 4. As I have been reading the specs on all Strats, it is mentioned on only a few, specifically. (Jimmie Vaughan model for instance). I can't believe that Fender would not install RWRP in almost all Strats &/or other SSS guitars. I understand 50's & 60's re-issues would keep it as it was. I still believe that most SSS Fenders will have an RWRP without mentioning it in their specs. So please set me straight on this probably dumb question.

I know I've never heard of a Fender guitar with Texas Specials fitted that doesn't have an RWRP middle pickup as stock, I just assumed RWRP has been adopted as standard now. Some replacement pickup sets (CS54's for example) don't come with the RWRP middle pickup though.

I think the only Strat pickups not using this now are the Custom Shop 69s
There could be others I don't install or consume but I think that's it.
Almost every Fender strat with a 5 way and single coil pickups employs this.
They even use it on HSS models.

Short answer: Most are nowadays (Including Texas Specials). The reason it is mentioned in some is it is a feature they want to highlight, especially when it is on a cheaper model (the J Vaughan) for instance. Don't get to hung up on Specs...play the guitar if is feels right and sounds good, who cares about the RWRP! I have guitars with and without it and if properly shielded it doesn't make that much of a difference IMHO. At least not in the places I have played live in.
