Can you pull the neck off and post some pictures of the neck heel, body neck socket, body route, and the pickguard inside??? that would be interesting...

your guitar was made at the
Fuji-gen Plant (for Fender Japan), Japan
in the Year(s): 1994 - 1995

Fuji String Instrument Production Corporation

Fuji String Instrument Production Corporation was opened in may 1960, they initially started manufacturing violins and quickly switched to classical guitar production. In 1962 electric guitar construction was started. Fujigen has a reputation for excellent quality and craftsmanship so the guitars they produce are highly regarded. They produce guitars via OEM for famous brands such as Ibanez, Epiphone, Yamaha and Fender (the import Special Interest Group nature model), G&L and others.

Fender Japan made a couple of guitars that had that head stock from mid 80s to 97 or 98

Xhefri and rock god are you replying to my post?

I don't really want to take my guitar apart partly because I might not be able to put it back together the same way

and

I obtained the guitar somewhere around 1985-1987 from a guy who said he bought it in Korea sometime between 1982-1984 somewhere in there so it's not any newer than probably 1983 at the latest.

I'll see if I can't post some photos of it anyway so you can see what I'm talking about. The body looks like a standard Strat.

Sorry if I'm confusing the situation. I probably should have started a new post but I saw that my SN is the same as the guitar that started this post so I thought I would post it in the same thread.

The pegs are new not the original. I think I only changed the pegs once recently and the old ones are in a bag which I have. The old pegs were stripped.[/img]

I just read the FAQs about posting images. I have the photos in my pc but I don't have a website to post them from...oh well. Like has been explained previously I probably just got a counterfeit using that same sn which seems to be a popular one for counterfeiters! lol Guess they've been using it a long time.

Put your photos out at www.flickr.com or another of the many possible sites. Do a search on "photo hosting" to find others.

There have been a lot of counterfeit guitars and basses with that serial number, as you've learned. Sorry you got that bad news.

After reading some of the posts here and seeing the same serial number I am wondering if the guitar is actually a counterfeit of some kind. But I only traded a Bullet for it so I don't feel like I got burned and I enjoy playing it so I guess that's all that counts really.

Post some photos. Its more likely that yours is the original perhaps there was a serial double up somewhere. Either way the guitars going to be only ever worth as much as a strat of that era which isn't that much anyway.

IMO, that's highly unlikely. I would bet a lot of money against that because there are more than just two guitars around with that serial number, a lot more.

Aria guitars were cloning Fender and Gibson guitars like mad back then. The headstock looks exactly like an Aria Pro II series neck. My first guitar was a strat copy. Recently I gutted that guitar and shipped it out in pieces. I noticed the neck fits perfectly in Warmouth Strat bodies, so its very possible its just an Aria strat copy. Someone placed fake Fender data on the guitar. I'm sure Fender has already disputed it being real.

Flickr -- duh why didn't I think of that. I have a Flickr account. Thanks for the tip. I'll do that. I don't really feel like I got burned per se. I've had alot of pleasure from playing the guitar. Action is a little high and several others have told me that when they tried to play it. But all in all I feel okay with the guitar. I only traded a Memphis Bullet and Crate amp for it. Of course maybe Bullets from the late 70s and Crate amps are worth something to toy collectors on Ebay now? lol Maybe the dude who has the Memphis and Crate has something of more monetary value now? ;-)

I'll put the photos up on my Flickr page and then post them from there to here.

Thanks again for the tip.

That headstock style was popular in the 80s, via Charvel/Jackson. Very suspicious and doubt Fender did that headstock in the 70s.

I think people were expecting to see the Pointy type of headstock.
Besides that serial number, the truss rod cover is a dead giveaway that it's not a genuine Fender guitar.

I just traded my Fender DG22S (acoustic) for this "Strat".

And check out the serial number.

That's right, you guessed it, S732327!
