American made = Inches
All others = Metric

Tone and Volume Knobs are universal.

Sorry but , no . There are many import made pots which shaft are smaller than american made pot.

Some knob won't fit .

6mm knobs come tantalisingly close to fitting on quarter inch shafts. Unfortunately quarter of an inch is 6.35mm and they just will not go on.

I stand corrected. I never keep mini pots in anything. I should have taken that into consideration.
