If it's a more recent Seymour Duncan pickup then it should have the SD logo printed across one of the coils. Older ones just have plain coils, you'd have to open it up and look at the baseplate.

Yeah, you really wouldn't be able to tell without at least taking the pick guard off, and maybe the humbucker out as well.

I did open it up, the humbucker says Seymour Duncan with a sticker that says SH-1. the single coils have no magnets (I assume there Alnico) but the have what look to be slightly large plastic screw heads on them..

Also on the single coils, instead of having staggered pole pieces it just has the one under the D string higher than the rest...

here are some pics of the single coils. Note the one pole piece is higher than the rest, and on the bottom side note the to rather large plastic screws. According to ebay these are rare "super strat" single coils. Make sence to anyone? I know my bridge is Seymour Duncan sh-1 '59. The single coils are from my understanding wound hot (7.3k)?? By the way that is not my pickgaurd as I have a humbucker in the bridge. but the two single coils (neck and middle) are the ones in my guitar..

Thanx

Texas specials don't have those giant screws in the bottom.

Hey Daniel,
Don't know if this is much help or not, but Fender's pickup descriptions are a bit generic sometimes and actual specs for the pickups themselves not easy to come by.
Below are the specs based on the serial number on the neck picture.
That serial # tracks to our part # 013-9402-338 DLX SUPER STRAT MN CRT W/GIG to a dealer in GA (I believe) and was completed 2/3/2000
Here are what the specs were:
Hope it helps ya out a bit. Cheers,
rob

Super Strats in original trim command $450 to $600 on the secondary market.

Sounds about right . A 98 Lonestar would be Made in America back then. Nice guitar though.

This guitar has been modified.

Someone had put a Duncan '59 Trembucker in the bridge. Pickguard is not stock, lacks off the special push/push button to activate the bridge pickup in positions 4 & 5. Original knobs had been exchanged for a set of three dome metal types.
