Jeff's main stage guitar is currently fitted with a fat bat neck from a midnight purple '93.

Jeff reportedly was not satisfied with the thinner C profile and wowed a return for those huge baseball necks.

The Masterbuilt JB Customs truly reflect the artist's personal specifications…

It is not difficult for the CS folks to replicate those Suhr-designed stack 'buckers since ME told us they had built a couple of them for "El Becko" thyself.

I'm still not convinced that neck is on the current guitar. Too many conflicting articles in print.

e.g. "Premier Guitar, December 2013..pg 59: ...a neck circa 1993 intended soledly for internal use at the Fender factory bolted to a standard-issue 1995 body. The neck, it's headstock stamped serial number '04 was a gift from Fender. A long crack snakes down the neck's backside but the guitar is in perfect working order....".....excerpted from the new book '108 Rock Star Guitars' by Lisa S. Johnson.
This is the white guitar pictured.

Premier Guitar did a review of Jeff's Gear this month. I will post a link ASAP.

Vintage Guitar did an extensive article on him in their July issue. We've had molto mojo discussions about this. The one thing I'm certain of is that only HE really knows what the rest of the story is.

I think the Beck model has a smaller C neck feel which is much different from that large U feeling neck of his.

Roger that. Per products section specs, the Artist Series guitar is described as having a 'C-shape' neck. The Custom Shop Artist Signature guitarm a 'thin-C' shaped neck.

A lot of people feel uncomfortable playing a U shape neck. Most youngsters grown up on the modern C necks and never played a V or a U neck.
I have played on some great feeling V shape profile necks.

The interviewer makes the point of how intensely controversial the specs of this guitar is within the community but this 'expert' interviewer never asked about the neck. He left half the guitar out of the mix. That's grounds for interviewer malpractice.

V necks are my preference. My Clapton is my 'go to' guitar.
