Looks like the original photo is no longer available.
Here are some STCL-100 photos.

If my memory serves me well, these came in violin burst, natural & black.

Later models had an active eq, f-hole, and bound top bodies- these models were the forefather to the stratocoustic models today.

Also, a steel stringed version had a bronze fender lace sensor in the neck.

far superior quality wise to the one's being sold today- IMO

It looks like someone started building a guitar and forgot about finishing it. Looks wise it does nothing for me. But the most important thing is how does it sound and what kind of pieces do you use it for. Keiff has a nylon string electric he plays Painted Black on but it is not a Fender guitar but it sounds really nice.

It's a very nice looking guitar, but then......I've always been partial to natural wood. I have a Tele that is natural wood. Anyway...I only see one knob on the body. I'm guessing it's a volume knob. So how would you adjust the tone?

That new evh guitar just has a volume control

I have one of these. I picked it up in Japan a few years ago. Its really cool. Excellent build quality, beautiful hunk of wood. It sounds like a classical guitar. The trem surprisingly doesn't create tuning issues... don't know why. You can't see it in the photo at the top of the thread, but it has the regular football-shaped cable jack on the back (!) of the body. It has a regular small Strat headstock, but has tortoise-shell tuning buttons (!!), and a chrome applique logo.

That was the first thought to come to my mind as well. Looks like a very unique Fender!

Since you have one, not to impose, but more photos would be very nice, and appreciated.

Peace,

Very nice. Thanks for the photos. I bet it sounds nice... never seen anything like it though, much less heard it, that I'm aware.
