Hey guys. I recently bought a strat partscaster. The guy I bought it from claimed the body was from an "american hot rod strat". Can anyone help me in identifying the body? (I always laugh when I type that..)

The bottom right sticker has "C00245216" on it. Thanks!

Any insight is appreciated!

Would really need some more photos but it has the earmark of 62 reissue strat. It has the route in the rear pickup cavity. The cloth covered wire on the pickup leads would also make me think 62 reissue, but again need more pics.

Hi there it is the number in the neck pickup cavity that gives the details.
If that sticker is original then it points to part number 0053807.
This is the body part number for the 62 American Vintage strat so T2 Stratman is onto it!
Check the fender guitar support diagrams, dial in the 62 pdf.
You will see the list of parts 3rd page .... body part number. Possibly Olympic white.
Hope that helps! :D

+1

It appears 100% authentic to me as well.
