Hi Everyone, I was pretty impressed with this guy's video I found on YouTube, so I made it better by clipping all 100 songs with Clippeo so you can jump from clip to clip, loop them, and slow them down for practicing:

Lemme know what you think. (Full disclosure: I'm a cofounder of Clippeo, and a Fender nut – I wanted to build a tool to make learning from guitar videos easier.)

Awesome compilation there, that's an incredibly neat idea to be able to clip videos like that online.

Very cool idea. But a question. How do you slow them down?

BTW: I met the guy that did this video on a trip to Chicago. I visited the Chicago Music Exchange and he was working. Very nice kid.

Hi Ron in Omaha, thanks for trying out Clippeo.

To slow or speed up the playback, look for the 1/4x, 1/2x, 1x, 1 1/2x and 2x buttons directly under the video.

Ron in SF, I did find the 1/2, etc. buttons. Predictably they were right under my nose. And, again, the ability to clip the videos is a really useful tool. I can really see the usefulness of looping. But I found the 1/2 & 1/4 buttons for slowdown not very helpful at all. Those are way too slow. I have found that for learning I need 80%, 85%, 90%, etc. Maybe 70% at the slowest.

But consider the source. I am just starting to learn guitar in retirement, or trying. Some others may find far more usefulness for this.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the feedback, matonanjin. I wish we could offer finer-grained control of the playback speed, but the only options from the YouTube API are 1/4, 1/2, 1.5 and 2.

Best,
Ron
