I changed the springs in my 2011 American Deluxe Strat for some of these and I've been bowled over with what I'm hearing now.

Anyone else tried them yet?

What did you like about them?
What was better?

I like the improved tonal quality and dynamic response I'm getting.
Whether it's any closer to a genuine vintage Strat sound I couldn't say, but if it does sound closer then it explains to me why some folks rave on about the genuine old stuff.

Put another way - I've upgraded pickups before now and had less impact on the sound quality than changing the springs has had.

Did your tremolo float before and is it resting against the body now?

I like it floating - I had to take a screwdriver to the screws on the claw plate to set the trem the way I like it.
It was floating before and it's floating now.

Ok cool just wanting to grasp the entire picture.
Well sounds interesting for sure.

I'm just pleased that such an inexpensive hardware change has been so beneficial.
My fingers are sore, 'cause I keep picking the guitar up and losing an hour or two several times a day :D

I live in the UK, and the springs cost me £17.00 - that's somewhere around $25.00 to $30.00 your side of the pond?
