I'm on the fence for a 61 Custom Shop Stratocaster. OTD price is $1950.

What do you guys think?

The frets are not jumbo- do they make custom shop strats with jumbo frets?

It's a custom shop.
If the guitar you're after isn't yet made they can accommodate whatever fret wire you want.
If it has already been built then it's pot luck ... 8)

Price depends on where you are, the model, what sort of condition the guitar is in and how bad the vendor thinks you really want it.
Make sure it is a custom shop ..... it should come with a certificate of authenticity (COA) and if you are not sure post pics and maybe someone here will be able to tell you if it is genuine. Naturally if it is from a reputable dealer it will more than likely be genuine.
That price if in USD is not unreasonable and probably pretty good.
Yes some come with medium jumbo and as already mentioned they can make one with a type of your choice (within reason) :D

The guitar is supposed to be brand new, and is a "heavy relic" model - and is a "61". It is at Guitar Center so I think it is legitimate. How much movement do they have? at the current price I probably would have swung for it at the time if it was the color I wanted, but now that I've thought about it a little they would have to drop the price a little for me to hit the go button. How much lower could they go on a guitar like that?

If you are sure it is custom shop and new I would say that is one of the better prices I have seen.

If you're in Europe, there's at least a 30% premium on anything American, and the used market doesn't discount that much. In the states, your best bet is to watch craigslist, I got gems from people just trying to clear space in the basement!

That price is very low. For a heavy relic it seems about half price for a brand new one.

+1

A heavy relic strat would be one of the more expensive CS's you can get.
