Post subject: How to flatten a radius

Had a quick question can you sand down a radius or am i better putting bigger frets on guitar. I have a japan lefty strat with a 7.25 love the neck shape its thin great for chords i can do anything on almost but would love a flatter radius from like the 10th fret on thanks.

Anything is possible...but you would be better off going with a new compound radius neck that is of a similar feel to the neck you have.

You could change the radius during a fret change. Any trained luthier could do it for you. I would recommend a compound radius.

Eeven if you don't use his services, he's really good about giving advice. He has never steared me wrong.
