The Standard is a Hybrid of an American Highway 1 Neck and Pickguard.

American Standard Body and Tremolo.

I ditched the Grease Bucket wired it American Standard with an Orange Drop .022. 715 Cap.

I replaced the Alnico 3 Rods with Alnico 5s the pickups ohmed at 12.5 13 and 13.5 kOhm

Its a blazing Stratocaster now.

The American Deluxe has had an original Floyd Rose I installed

It has been wired American Standard

The humbucker is a Hot Rod or Atomic same Fender pickup.

The Singles were Hot Alnico 3s from Highway 1s that I pushed the Alnico 3 rods out and inserted Alnico 5s

I also run them flat head or flat with pickup cover to get the coil into the heft of it.

I run 250k pots and a .022 PIO Capacitor in it.

No doubt about it, a couple of cute kids for shure. Also see you have been swapping the necks... Notice any noticeable tone change doing so?

Wait a second... can't swap the necks... One's Floyded. Swapping the pickgaurds. Still, notice a diff in reponse from one strat to the other switching the pickups? Or do both handle the pickup swap pretty much the same...

Yes me too :) I love the classic look of the Deluxe so much more. The Am Special Standard is really sweet now too. :) Thanks

I actually have several pickguards and plastics sets for each, I will post different pictures to show you tonight. I change them around from time to time.
Im real happy with this set up though :)
the only neck swap is on the Am Standard. I kept telling a friend I work on his guitars, that I wanted a maple Am Special neck with 70s peghead for it.
He told me he wanted to buy the standard neck so I did it.
I bought a neck and a pickguard off a Highway 1 from a guy on ebay, I left him with a red nitro body.
i truthfully have been favoring it. Locking tuners is all that holds it in tune. It sounds very straty, I play it on a Jimi Hendrix segment we do. Its amazing.

The "buddy" image doesn't reflect those changes.
