Yeah I know it stands out very bad, I also got a message back from the guy saying it is a custom Strat neck... which I guess means its a cheap fake out of China or some place.

I haven't decided which is worse -- that steaming pile of dog turds referred to as a Fender Strat or the euphemistically juvenile description of same.

I think the price is a optimistic especially for what it is.. However that is a nice old bridge and the neck from a nice piece of timber. $600 tops. That's still optimistic & not worth anything more.

Even though the neck has a decal on it, he hasn't misrepresented it or said it was anything that it isn't. Just another partscaster really, nothing overly custom about it at all. One mans custom is just another mans partscaster...

Typical NZ Trademe listing though  there are a lot of people who overprice their gear and there are people who just don't have a clue as to what they are selling. If you have a good eye and good patience, you can find yourself a good deal.

Too many tyre kickers with no money though

I just realised if you replace the word "wet" with "yet" then it all makes a lot more sense.

It's a typical luthier's take on the superstrat, nice wood, decent hardware. No idea why that luthier would be ashamed to put his/her name on the headstock and stoop so low as to apply a fake Fender decal.

And as with all custom builds, the resale value is next to nothing. No one really wants someone else's custom design, regardless of whether it's got a fake Fender logo.

True enough about TradeMe, I sell a little from time to time on there but for the most part I buy new and collect guitars (reason I have so many I guess, just can't bring myself to sell them).

Good to see a fellow Kiwi on this forum, peace from Christchurch.

Hmm, even spell-check would have helped...
Quote:
NEW Condition !

I ordered this custom guitar from the very famouse and experienced guitar builder in Korea.

It took 6 months with care.

The First neck hasn't been used wet. Even not connected wet.

I also ordered its second neck and SSS pickgaurd as well.

The body and pickguard all has a sivler colour shielding.

Expectedly from expensive custom guitar, i experience very hard density like a rock, fat sound with good balaace, easiness of playing and bending, and exquisite set up.

Other guitarists and guitar shop staffs also went crazy to love this guitar sound from big tube amp.

Why i'm letting this go is that i like to do with Gibson Les Paul from now on.

This guy! ^^^

Thanks Doc!

Really though, been around a while but I'm more of a lurker.

Welcome to the Forum, Stonehart. I'm in Auckland- been a little windy up here lately- tea towels have twisted on the clothes line. I hope the EQC have you sorted and in a warm & dry home during these cold months :) earthquake recovery is taking its time huh..

If I ever get down there, White Island is on my bucket list, among the many other 'steamy' natural wonders.
