I bought and American Standard strat for about 850 euros. From what I know serial numbers beginning with ee are supposed to be made around 1987 - 1989 (but I could be wrong). And the hot rod red color was made by fender only in the early 2000s from what i know. So if anyone can clarify this for me and tell me the year it was made and how valuable it is I would greatly appreciate it! :D Image[/URL]

Where did you see EE is a 1988-89 year ?

All I find is E8 is 1988-89 Can't find EE

How can you tell the color is "hot rod red" color ? Is an original color ?

Fender made many kind of red all the time.

I have a 1995 Strat in red too.

It's there somewhere. I have an EE as well, and checked with Fender - 1987, meant for the export market. A few people on this forum have them.
