Neither of the two guitars cited above are what I remember seeing at my local Guitar Center during the time frame cited by me. It had a maple neck, sunburst finish, VN pickups and the midboost circuit and I recall thinking to myself that it was, for all intents and purposes a Clapton clone. Had it had a v-neck I would have purchased it..

Clapton clone?

Is that famous T-Mobile guitar you cited on many posts?

Nah! Something like that, or the TK heavy relic sunburst version I once saw at Guitar Center, would have been hanging on the wall or locked in a glass case in one of their Platinum Rooms, or high enough on the store wall such that you'd need a mountaineering permit, a 20ft ladder and a guide, to get to it. Nah!, this was in a display just inside the front entrance to the store. An MIM sunburst Strat with the active electronics. It was probaby one of their FSR's. They do alot of those.

Sounds like a "Brownie" with all the good active stuff fitted in.

More like an MIM Standard.

It's an SSS model? I've had posted a picture of an FSR MIM with an HSS configuration and the same "Elite" active circuitry Clapton uses on his personal stage guitars. It came with a tortoiseshell pickguard.

I need a photo in order to obtain much detailed information about the aforementioned Clapton clone.

Don't knock yourself out. It's a small detail not worth the effort.
