Yep !

I own an FSR Am. Vtg. Ltd. Ed. '57 Stratocaster in CAR. 8) It plays amazing !

As it was explained to me, what made it an FSR was the color - Candy Apple Red.

What made it a Limited Edition was the thin Nitro finish - supposedly 1 of 46.

Other than this, it has the same features as the AVRI.

I don't know if it'll appreciate more than an AVRI, if anything I suspect it may sell a little faster, all other things being equal.

cheers!

I know ... Right ??

Actually, Mrs. LMN ran down that guitar (because of it's 'rarity') as an anniversary present, but asked the store to also show me some other comparable guitars, so I'd actually have a choice.

The store had an AVRI in burst and an Eric Johnson for me to try as well. The main difference between the EJ and the '57 was the quarter-sawn neck on the EJ and I was hard-pressed to decide - the EJ is an excellent axe! That is until I saw the LE-0 (LE for Limited Edition) prefix on the SN... I just knew that LE0 must have some hidden Mojo to it !

cheers!

Naw... the Strat was last year ... 8)

We actually alternate years buying anniversary presents for each other. This year was Her year, and she got a nice Roberto Coin 18k Gold Cocktail Ring.

We joked about my Empress Tele being my anniversary present because of the timing. But in truth, I had a bunch of old NOS Porsche (356), Jaguar (Series 1 E-Type) and Lotus parts I'd been hoarding for decades(most are now made of unobtanium and you can virtually name your price) that I decided to sell ... for multi-guitar money (way better than Bank interest!) which funded that purchase.

We don't really do Xmas presents either, aside from Stocking Stuffers, though actually we do give each other a mutual present - our annual 2-week trek to New Orleans for JazzFest.

JazzFest money has to come from somewhere...

cheers!

Nice guitar, Lightnin MN! Nothing like a nice '57, but then I have a weakness for a nice maple neck. Cheers! 8)

Wow what a beauty!! The Candy Apple Red is a nice color against the tinted neck!
