Hey guys. Need your advice how I can make my Blacktop's sound to be more brighter! I had my guitar for more than a year now but I just can't pass that too muffled sound whether it's clean or with dirt...

I have the Rosewood neck, HH, Sonic Blue...

* maybe change pickups? If so, I want to still retain the high output but with more treble... bite. What are the pickup I should get? I don't want a pickups that is 'covered'... I'm going for that vintage look :)

I'll assume your other guitars don't sound that way too.
You can't adjust your amps to get a brighter sound?

Is the Blacktop a HH or HSH? What value are the pots?
A no-load tone control could help. A 500K volume pot could also help.

How do you have the pickups adjusted?

Hey man, thanks for responding. Yes, all my guitars are on the bright side and most and all of their pickups has been upgraded.

Mine is the HH type... pots? :?: No clue, this is all stock guitar. I've never adjust the pickups... basically, it's just the height, intonation and stings that I've changed eversince I bought it.

Give it a try. Lower the bass side, and/or raise the treble side.
