This particular strat is one that could be left completely untouched and original.
It really has everything you need and would want.
I have also always wanted a tweed case and an all white strat with rosewood.
We will just have to see.
Im dwelling on it hard lately.

Really you would be money ahead to just get an American Standard and throw a set of Hot Noiseless and Locking tuners on.
I mean other than it having a contoured neck joint and an LSR which I don't like so well anyway.
Jeff Beck's signature don't really make it play or sound better.

In your place I'd opt for the locking tuners and a set of JST V60s with the hotter V60LP bridge pickup.

The V60s sound closer to the Fender stacked humbuckers John did for Jeff himself.

A set of Seymour Duncan SSL-6 one (RW/RP) and a SSL-3 are also interesting.
I just have really gotten interested in smoking hot alnico 5 singles lately.

These pickups are a common configuration for a killer-sounding Soloist® guitar, especially when paired with a bone-crunching TB-4 Jeff Beck Trembucker™ in the bridge position.

You know I read somewhere that Jeff Beck was responsible for The Jackson Soloist design,
it was his and the JB Seymour Duncan as well.

Jeff contributed to the development of the Spectrum, which was essentially a Soloist with three active Jackson single coils, reverse drooped headstock and a 51-style pickguard.

Image

Unlike the regular production Spectrums, Jeff's own guitar featured a regular non-reverse droopy peghead.

My personal guess is that Elliot Easton also owned a heavily modified Spectrum and the design eventually became the template for the Kramer EE Pro signature series.

Image

The pink Soloist was used during the ARMS Charity concerts in 1983, serving as a backup to his Esquire and sunburst '54.

Hey thanks for all that info chromeface! :)
I did own a Spectrum and a Soloist.
I was heavily influenced by the Jeff Beck Rod Stewart song People Get Ready.
Jeff has always been an amazing player and was refreshing at the time in a sea of Eddie Van Halen and Randy Rhoads clones.

Glad I could be of some service to you. You can find that almost word for word in the product description of Orange Drop Capacitors.

Here is the product description

Sprague 225P ORANGE DROP Capacitors

Great cap for most applications
Well suited for faster styles where a fast pick dynamic is desirable
Great for Blues too!

I know SLASH favors them for this reason and uses them exclusively.
Do you know something he doesn't?

I also know that PIO has a smoother tone because of its tolerance and ability to hold more.

Are you on the side of the fence that value is the only difference, capacitor type has no impact?
I have spoke with many who are on both sides so I just conducted the experiment myself.
There is an audible difference between Ceramic, Foil, and Paper In Oil Capacitors.

You handled that quite well. The type of cap, as well as the value, has an impact on the sound produced, whether a tone cap in a guitar, or coupling cap in an amp. Yes, it is science and not opinion. Hearing ability may be a factor, but one that doesn't change the facts.

In regards to caps, pickups, guitars, amps or anything else that requires human ears to transpose sound waves and frequencies into verbal communcation for describing purposes differs from person to person. We assume that everybody is hearing the tonal qualities in the same manner, and our responses reflect this. The truth of the matter, this is not the case and some people may have extra sensitive frequency ranges that may alter their opinion upon the aforementioned products. Age, vocation and hearing loss are relevent to any discussion relative to tone. We shouldn't hastily judge people based upon what the OP hears vs. what the posts believe what the OP hears. IMHO.
