I'm new to guitar playing, but enthusiastically look at the guitars that are better than my playing on the walls of my local store. One of them is a Standard Strat, and it's got the factory sticker on it listing features, and one of those (the first, in fact) is "Fully shielded electronics". I was under the impression that Fender doesn't do that for any of their guitars - it would be up to the owner.

I asked the store clerk, and he thought the same thing.

Do they actually shield any of their strat models at the factory? If so, which ones?

Thanks for that info.

Does anyone know if they're doing it for the American strats, too? I didn't see anything about that in the specs or on the stickers for the American Standards I've seen.
