That's really cool but I believe those pickups are the Duncan Quarter pounder.
It gets its name from the .250 magnet rods or 1/4 inch diameter.

Yep, those pickups are indeed duncan quarterpounders except the middle pickup is a dummy coil.

Yeah and its funny he didn't used to do that,
matter of fact his signature song smoke on the water is on the middle pickup.

I bet he was using it in some of his Rainbow stuff with Joey Lynn Turner.
That did get a tad sappy after awhile.
