The MIA's use better pickups, pots, wiring, wood, usually have better finish work, use better tuners, bridge. All in all it's just a more toneful, more stable instrument. That doesn't mean the MIM's arent decent guitars. You just get what you pay for.

There are soooooooooooooooooooooo many threads on this, it's just exhausting. Search here or on ultimate-guitar.com for hundreds of detailed examples.

Bottom line: huge difference. If you don't care or aren't at a level where you can appreciate these differences, then for YOU, there isn't much different. To a pro player, there's is no question which one they will want.

it all depends what year you are talking about.
2006 to present there made from the same wood most american strats are made of. jumbo-medium frets. the bridge block is thicker and much better.
the tuners are fender pings i personaly like the pings better you can tune faster and the guitar stays in tune better with the pings unlike the vintage tuners. replace the pickups with duncans or what you prefer and you have a strat just as good as the american ones.

I was about to comment: "Haven't we been here before?" and then noticed that someone else had picked that up. It's obvious that we don't want to be unkind. Perhaps the 'search' mode should be suggested here.
