It's just sad isn't it? I feel sad for the waste of a guitar and sad for the poor fool who thought it would look cool if he carved his guitar into small pieces.

The silver lining is that it doesn't look like it started out as a Fender Strat.

It makes sense that you'd carve up a cheapo Strat copy.

Did you ever see the similar "job" John Mayall did on his Strat?

Agreed, it's not a Fender but it's still a colossally misguided attempt at customising a guitar. For me the silver lining is imagining the creeping feeling of failure the owner must have felt as realisation slowly dawned on him and he had to accept that he had failed utterly and it was time to to shifting the resultant mess on ebay for pennies.
