Unless you're pulling a Pete Townsend and stabbing the amp, absolutely not. What kills amps is pushing the volumes all the way up or using the wrong speaker impedance... The guitar input to the amp won't do a thing. YM uses a single coil stratocaster (with special high output designed pickups) to achieve his sound through a wall of high gain amps...
