Maybe that's why we have a separate part of the forum for bass "guitars".....so we don't have to look at them here. :lol:

Just a simple reference, old pal. :wink:

For those who dreamed a hot-rodded american vintage telecaster with the full-sized humbucker, Fender introduced a 50's tele featuring a wide range humbucking neck pickup and a sizzling broadcaster singlecoil at the bridge.

There's also a 60's hotrod with a nashville pickup configuration! :P

Just mix'n match, mix'n match. I've got 4 Strats and a new MIJ LTD Bass VI which was the first thing to spark my interest in a long time. Nothing really new under the sun yet, for me.

@ZZDoc

Have you already tried the new Roadhouses? Seems that Fender did a nice job with their new V6 tone shaping system.

I wonder if the V6 is a modified version of the MDX circuit. :roll:

Trying something new around these parts is like a shot in the dark. Fender releases a new series of instruments but there is no guarantee that the buyers for Guitar Center, Sam Ash, or any of the independents, for that matter are going to line their walls with this new gear. The GC closest to me has yet to stock a new American Vintage. They keep referring me to their platinum store further south. It would be one thing if they, for example, set up a display like 'new from Fender'. They don't. The sales staffs at the end of the line seem to just throw the stock they get up on the walls without any sense or interest in marketing. At the end of the day its their production and their percentages which matter. How they arrive at that number they really don't care. Just as long as they do. The Music Zoo, in Roslyn NY was a favorite place of mine. The last Fender Road show in that part of the country was 3 years ago. I believe that The Music Zoo has had to bow to Gibson and show a significant line of their guitars in order to remain in good standing as a dealer for them. I see far many more Gibson's in the email promotions I get from them, than I do Fenders. I'll pay closer attention to them from now going forward to see how much of the new line they offer. Much of what they do offer from Fender is Custom Shop level gear. Another vendor to follow closely would be Wildwood Guitars, to see what their ordering patterns would be. :idea:
