The V6 rotary preset switch is kinda sorta of a modified MDX circuit offering six variable levels of gain boost.

Seems that Fender came up with their own interpretation of Gibson's Varitone system.

Unlike the V6 the Varitone circuit is passive.

The S1 push-push button turns off the MDX preamp.

Well, how ZZDoc thinks about this feature?

These look quite interesting... I like the wide array of switching options. The vintage white one is really doing it for me. I'll be interested to hear some reviews on this one.

+1 (or +2, as I'm really digging both the Roadhouse and the Lone Star!)

Yeah sort of a more affordable American Special in the Lone Star.
Makes getting a Blade Runner and locking tuners more in reach.

I got a lone star pearl white pickguard with aged white plastics and an aged white atomic
that would look nice on that 3 tone sunburst lone star.
