I have been playing Fender Strats for years but I have never used a tremolo with an American Standard Strat. I have used the tremolo arm with my MIM strat a few times just for kicks but I always removed the trem when finished. I was just wondering...If I install the tremolo arm in my American Standard Stratocaster is it okay to leave it in the guitar when I put the guitar back in the case? What do you guys do?

No.... It is not a good idea to leave the trem in, there are plenty of damaged cases and guitars from that.....
The case is not designed for the trem to be left screwed in.
In the event of a collision of any kind the trem arm will transmit the shock to the bridge and guitar with often serious damage resulting ..........
