Hi, I've got American Standard Stratocaster 2012.
After neck relief fixing (don't know in which direction), and lowering action as well as string change, it started to sound a bit blurry like with decreased tone or so. Strings were Original Bullets 3150 LR, now they are Super Bullets 3250 L.
In general, in which way the action, neck relief, pickup height affect the tickness of sound.

I want to get my loud fat electric sound with a bit sharper picking, how to get it back?

Hi inteloid, lower action is probably the cause of the tone difference, try lowering the pickups also bit by bit see if it helps

Thanks a lot, what about lighter strings and flatter relief?

Why two post for same question ?

Other strings gauge than original need a neck curve check and truss rod adjustment if needed.

No ! Not before to do some reading of neck curve . You should not lowering pickups or bridge if you have wrong neck curve .

Folow guitar set up step by step.

Sorry for double-posting, the reason is actually forum's servers, It was written that it was unable to connect to some remote, and didn't receive valid response. Can I delete the other thread?

The curve I think is right, I've lowered the pickups a bit and the tone seems to be better now.

With the proper curve you have the better action and with wheather change the neck will be "in spec" and youre guitar set up will stay acceptable .

You can delete if not to late ,

You must have this " ! x " on left corner down side side of this window . Clic on the " x"

No "x" , but only " ! " You can't delete.

Hi stratele52, I'd assumed the strat was setup for inteloid the ( don't know which direction) made me think someone else had tweeked it for him, don't know if that's the case inteloid if so and you're happy then you're good to go, if not then as stratele52 said good idea to have a look at the setup guide

Guys, that someone else is actually a country-wise famous guy here, which takes part in US NAMM shows, he just set up the relief by his taste not by specs :-D

Thanks for your support guys.
