After some thought last night I have decided to go with 3 on/off/on (in phase/off/out of phase) toggle switches and 3 250k/500k Concentric pots (this will give 3 vol/3tone pots).

Where have you found those kind of Pots?

where can i find info on this pick guard?

You can see the design of it at www.pickguards.com

STEL-3500 under "Strat" ... very cool... I've heard of this model but have never seen one... your's looks really clean!... I wonder why you would need the 5-way or 3-way if you had a separate on off for each p/up?

The Strat Elite had 3 push button on/off for it's setup. Mine will have 3 on/off/on toggle switches when I get done with it. There will be no 5 way or 3 way.

I'm curious as to why Fender doesn't make a current model with 3 on/off toggles?

sounds like a great project you have going there
i have 3 highway ones. 1 late upgrade 2006 2 early 2007's
i woulnt change a thing.these pickups are the best in any strat.
classic/modern tones and everything in between. feel/playability/tone
this strat is #1 by far. this strat is being compared to the custom shop strats and i can see and here why. correct me if i'm wrong the highway one already has 250k/500k pots?

My Highway 1 is a late 2006 also. It plays great and I love the pickups. My setup when it's done will have 3 on/off/on toggle switches, this will be In Phase/Off/Out of Phase. Then each pickup will have it's own vol and tone control, 500k/250k Concentric (stacked) pots. So there will be 6 pots in 3 holes.

Best of luck with the upgrade Chet. I love my Highway One, and I upgraded it also by going with Custom Shop Tx Special pickups. Everyone wants their own exact sound and I've got the one I want now.

do you have an upgraded (2006/7) highway 1?

if so, did you leave the greasebucket wiring alone, and just wire in the pickups?
