I wonder if it is an issue with the guitar, or is the sound coming from the amp? Maybe it is something in the room rattling?

As Rob pointed out, maybe the OP is just pounding the strings too hard, technique. :?:

Yep good point. Wondering is it a buzz or a rattle and apparent amplified or not?
The trem springs can cause a little bit of unplugged echo/rattle and I have come across a strat where the micro tilt disc was split and that caused a buzz as well ..... :D

Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble getting your guitar to play like ya want it.

What strings are you using?
You said at the start of the thread

So I had some issues with buzzing a while ago on my 2012 MIA strat, only after I had restrung it for the first time.

I recommend further discussion.....
Hope it gets better for ya.

All the best,

Thanks for the response. I took out a bit to shorten the wall of text here, but I use D'addario 9's, nothing crazy. As for the discussion, I already called the shop and ended up talking to three different guys for almost a half hour over the phone about it. The first two pushed me along to the senior guy there who I spent most of my time talking to.

He, too, said he noticed quite a bit of buzz (contradicting what was said the day before), and that he thought it was something that had to do with his playing style against my setup.

Thing is, I only asked for the "suggested" setup, and figured with everything professionally tweaked, I could adjust anything I needed to further.

I will admit, I do have a somewhat strong attack, and play a little harder than most, but nothing out of the ordinary. This is my 7th guitar that I've owned in the 10 years of playing, and the third fender strat (first MIA), and this is the first time it has become an issue. Also, the buzzing is very much noticable when I consciously play with the lightest touch I can.

The buzzing is more prominent acoustic, but is very much noticable amplified, even with some distortion.

I'm sorry if I seem to be pestering now, I'm just trying to clear up some questions some of you guys had. After a long talk with the guy at the shop, I will be bringing the guitar back on Tuesday and basically standing there with the tech until it is taken care of.

Thank you everyone for a huge amount of help. I really do appreciate it. I'll try to give an update ASAP.

EDIT: What was also mentioned by the guy I spoke to was that it could be a high fret, which was not checked for during their time with it. Or that it could be a twisted neck. Both of these things I have not seen ever personally, so I wouldnt know what to look for - so I will be bringing it there for them to ponder over. Everyone there has taken an interest to see what is going on, so I'm sure we'll get some answers soon now. Again, thank you everyone very much.
