I'm thinking of upgrading my bridge/whammy on my AS as the current one has taken some wear and tear. Is there a better Fender bridge or would something like a Wilkinson be a better option? Thx.

Get an American Deluxe bridge with a snap-in whammy bar or find a used Mini Floyd Rose assembly on eBay.

If you opt for the mini Floyd Rose bridge, you should also consider upgrading the tuners and install an LSR Roller Nut.

IMHO, the regular old American Standard bridge is fine. If you want to try something a little different, then you may want to consider a Wilkinson.

Usually a great suggestion, except that they don't make a two-point plate.
