That's my understanding.

Based on what you wrote above, it seems Fender has 3 different humbuckers.

American Deluxes use only USA-made components, hence's their prefix.

The American Deluxe HSS employs an American-made Atomic humbucking pickup.

True but the 8 kohm variations such as neck spacing or covered with alternated pole pieces sort of qualifies as seperate models.

Again Im unsure at this point. The Black Atomic I have is USA and the aged white one is Mexican it was aftermarket they look sound and ohm the same.
I know for fact the locking Fender Machine Heads and all of the machine heads are made In Taiwan, as are the CTS pots now.
All Fender 5 way switches and humbuckers are now coming in with made In mexico stickers.
I have not noticed any decline in quality at all the pots and switches look feel and perform exactly the same.
Remember it is Fender International Music not Fender USA. Even Gibson USA Guitars have some taiwan parts.
After the NAFTA Treaty almost every product despite origin is an intentional product. Cars Electronics Guitars etc.
Im ok with that as long as its quality.

Im thinking they only make Single Coils in USA now.

Funny you should mention this, because I have heard that "American Standard" pickups (not the current Fat 50's) were at some point actually made in Mexico. I don't know for a fact that this is the case, but when one considers that the Tex-Mex singles are basically overwound American Standards, it doesn't seem to be that much of a stretch.

Yeah its not about origin its about quality that Atomic is Awesome.
