Fender still makes humbucking pickups.

They're currently unavailable in their online store, as far as I can tell.

You might be able to get them through your local Fender dealer.

Or give your favorite Internet retailer a call and ask.

thats a bit pricey for a Fender Hot Rod and I see the EVH Humbuckers also on eBay cheaper for a real Fender Humbucker search ebay for FENDER Atomic Humbucker for Black or FENDER Hot Rod for aged white. If you just search FENDER Humbucker you can also find the lower 8 kohm and the higher Enforcer 24 kohm ceramic models as well.

FENDER needs to offer humbuckers in thier web store I think.

I'm looking for a Diamond Back pickup to put in my MIM Strat prodject. I was just wondering if Fender still made the Diamondback humbucker.

The Diamondback is still into production.

If you've questions regarding the availability of humbuckers in the online store send a PM to Brad.

The Diamond Back is the exact same pickup as the Atomic.

I have called customer service several times and pm'ed Rob.
Here is the list. Fender only makes about 5 Humbuckers total. They make up new names for them but nothing changes.
They have cool names like Side Winder, Diamond Back, Atomic, Hot Rod, Tex Mex, etc.
They are all the same.
The wide range neck and bridge. 8 kohm Alnico 5
The Standard Tex Mex 8 kohm Alnico 5
Atomic Hot Rod 15 kohm Alnico 5
Enforcer 24 kohm Ceramic

Seems to me they must also still make the DH-1. I see them for sale in music stores on a semi-regular basis. Saw one yesterday, as a matter of fact. I actually quite like that bucker. I find it feels to me like a medium to low output with a little wider frequency response than most buckers and a decent helping of harmonics. Seems like a good overall fit in a HSS Strat IMO which typically has a little lower overall output and wider frequency response in the SS pups than most HH guitars. You get the fatness of a bucker without straying quite as far from a Strat tone as you would with, say, a PAF or a Super Distortion or other popular bucker.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

The DH-1 (aka Atomic) is American-made.
