Here is my 2000/01 Clapton Strat.

I odered this guitar, through a store in January '01, from Fender and had to waite an extra month to get it because I requested Candy Green. IT turned out that Fender didn't have any Candy Green EC Strat bodies.

I remember receiving a phone call from the music store; "Fender says that they can get any other color right now, but green will take a month. I sat there thinking about this, for what felt like a life time. Then I decided. I ordered green, I want green--so I waited.

I ordered this guitar because I've always loved the tone Clapton got out of his Strats and I loved Gold Lace Sensors. The neck feels wonderful and over all, the guitar my most versitile, most played and worn guitar I own.

The finish on the endges of neck are starting wo ware away and it needs new frets, but over all the guitar is in pretty good shape.

Tamey75, because you posted in the STRAT section I presumed you were only talkin strat sigs here, but I guess not.

Heres my "Lee Ranaldo" Jazzmaster, which I bought because I wanted a good looking jazzmaster which was different and didn't have all the annoying controls. And I am a Sonic Youth Fan anyway.

I didn't order this one, I won it, autograph and all...but after I got it...it is one damn fine and smooth playing guitar. I like the tone of the lace sensors, and the soft V neck is so comfortable and this was the first guitar I had with the satin finish neck...did I say the neck is comfortable? It is my desert island guitar.

Tamey; take that bass out and show it a good time. It's too pretty to be stuck in a closet. I have a Clapton Strat that's just about perfect now, but I take it to rehearsals and jam nights and I'm sure it will end up showing some wear and tear after a while.
The way I figure it is, not playing my Clapton Strat would be like not screwing my wife so I could save her for her next husband. Pretty dumb if you ask me.

It was a radio station give away as they were one of the local sponsors of an EC Concert. I was cleaning out my aunts garage and listening to the radio and they through out a question and if you answered correctly and the right number caller, you won tickets. I called on a whim and won, well the next day they called and said I had also won the Strat from all the ticket winners!

I always say it is better to be lucky than good...and this just proves it.
