My strat has a vintage synchronized bridge. The bridge has a gap between the body for vibrato action. the question is: why everytime i do a vibrato action (up action) the bridge won't back to normal position?

Friction is your enemy. Lube up every sticking point(nut, string trees, pivot screws) and look into this website on info on how to set up a Fender trem. Also Dan Erlewine has some excellent books on guitar repair and set-up. Check them out, you can learn a lot.

As paisley strat said you should lube any friction points on the guitar. also take a look at the tremolo springs and the tremolo claw screws. The springs (even though very rare) may be about to snap (i've seen it happen to 2 week old guitar). The claw screws could also be moving around because of wear in the wood from adjusting them alot and this should be delt with by a professional.

Good Luck and Happy playing!

Make sure that the bridge plate is moving smoothly. Next time you install a fresh set of strings, with the strings and springs off, move the bridge assembly to be sure that it not hanging up somewhere.

what size strings? remember it's a balancing act. tune your guitar. while still plugged in to your tuner play and use you trem and even if your guitar is falling out of tune try to get all the strings to go outta tune the same..............flat or sharp doesn't matter. just all the same. when you have that then loosen or tighten the claw until you guitar is in tune. nut sauce , graphite, gun oil, eddie van halen even talked about using mazola. but balance is the key.
