Now i'm asking you guys, whats the differences between a C neck and a V neck.
(I have no chance to test the guitar because i will order it brand new from a store.)

If you were to cut the neck in half, the cross section would look as if the back of the neck is in the shape on the letter C. ....a V neck is shaped like a letter V.

Here's an example of a C shaped neck (don't mind the arrows)...

That really depends on how the neck fits in your hand.

Thank you,It helpt me very much.
But do you know witch neck there is on a Fender Vintage '57? The spec says : Neck 1-Piece Maple, “V” Shape,
(Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish) . But it dosen't say me a thing. I've already have a Fender vintage '62, and i think that the neck is to small for my hand, and the thing is, that the neck on the '62 strat is a C shaped.. I thought that the necks were same on both of the guitars. Do you know if the '57 neck is thinner och thicker?

I have a v-neck strat and I love the neck. That said, they are definitely not for everybody. I would try one out and see if you like it before doing anything.

Several sites describe it as a "soft V". It does have a 7.25" radius neck, which is the same radius as the '62. A "soft V" should be a little "bigger" than a "oval C" shape. I've never handled either one, so I can't tell you from personal experience.

The neck has to be played. Perhaps your dealer will be willing to order it for you to audition knowing it will eventually sell to someone.

Hey, if the vintage 62 neck feels too small for your hands, then the soft v will probably also feel too small too because the v on that guitar is not that much different in terms of size. If you play a jm sig or srv sig i am guessing that you will like the neck a lot better if your hands are in fact big. I have a jm sig which I love the tone of but my hands are too small for the neck. I know a lot of people with large hands that love the neck on this guitar. If I could go back and change things I would have bought the 62 reissue because that c shape fits my hands much better. Plus the reissues have a nitro finish instead of a poly.

So when it comes down to it, it is best to play the different neck shapes and find out what you like and what suits your hand size best. Don't underestimate the importance of this if you plan to be a serious player. Neck size and shape does matter a lot, especially if you're trying to play a particular style or like a particular player. SRV played on really thick necks because his hands were huge. Clapton plays on a V shape...his hands were smaller, yet he liked the feel of a v as opposed to a c. Just because your hands are small does not necessarily mean that you should choose a small neck though, because smaller necks cause faster hand fatigue.

Hope this helps.

Also remember that EC and SRV played 'vintage mongrels' as their main stage guitars. The history of the acquistion of these intruments bears this out. One came out of a pawnshop window and the other was cobbled together out of the best parts of four guitars. Fender's neck options were quite different in the build years of those two guitars. EC's was a '57 and SRV's was a '59 if my facts are correct.
