Looking to find out if shielding a early 90's 57 reissue stratocaster will devalue the guitar?
It still has the original 3 way switch and I was going to have my tech swap it out for the 5 way. While we are in there I was wondering if using shielding paint or tape to reduce the 60 cycle hum would devalue the instrument. Seems like it would be an improvement but I wanted to check first.
Thanks :?:

Copper tapes hielding look bad IMO but you can easely ( ? ) strip off. Black pain look better but you can't strip it .

For the value ? I don't know .

Sheilding tape can be removed. Just cover the bar code and any writeing before you use the copper sheilding tape.
