The serial search say this: Your guitar was made at the
Fullerton or Corona Plant (Fender), USA
in the Year(s): 1984 - 1988
This guitar has: Volume - Tone - Tone

Corona without a single doubt. That is an American Standard Stratocaster - they weren't even designed until after FMIC bought Fender from CBS; they went into production toward the end of 1986 and were officially released at the January 1987 NAMM show. It is definitely an American Standard with the 22 fret neck, 2-post trem with cast saddles, two tones and the angled jack plate.

As is well documented FMIC used up the left-over headstock decals with 1983 and 1984 serial number prefixes on the first runs of American Standards (lasting as late as the middle of 1988). A CBS/Fullerton era Strat with an E4xxxxx serial number would either be the 2-knob "revised Standard" or it would be an Elite Strat - either of which would have a 21-fret neck and a FreeFlyte tremolo.

Thanks for the information, I found it very useful. And since its origin is clear, what price is estimated to this guitar?

Hi; i have the serial E479618 Rosewood strat usa..When i mail to Fender they answered me

''Hello,

I don’t have that serial number on file – I won’t have anything prior to 1993 due to loss of records when Fender was re-acquired from CBS.

But according to your serial, your guitar would have been made between 1984 and 1988''.

A few years ago these were selling for a premium; these days unless it's a really rare (and sought after) color they go for just a little bit more than a later one. I've seen them go for around $800 here in the USA.

They are nice guitars the late eighties strats - I have 2 of them. My maple necked one with the GunMetalBlue finish has been my main guitar for the last 20 years...

Haven't played many nicer with the majority of newer ones. A lot of friends who have played it say the same thing.
