I have a Fender Squier Strat Affinity S/N CY0003768. The Truss Rod Nut where the allen wrench goes was stripped clockwise but not counter clockwise so I was able to get it out. I ordered one on eBay but it turns out that the American Series is not the correct one and it's too long to fit. I can't tell if it has the same thread. What type of nut does this particular strat use?

Sure American truss rod nut will not fit .

In any truss rod nut you must use a perfectly tight Allen key. Too many tools are cheap today.

A trussrod nut that fits into the fender headstock can not be too long to fit, the "Bullets" have a trussrod nut that sticks out. My Mexi Strat has the same thread as the US truss rod, except its diameter is thinner, so I had to machine the US one down to fit into my Mexi Strat trussrod cavity.

AaronK,
Mexican guitar could ( ? ) use the same thread as US but Asian made Squier surely use Metric thread.

I called Fender's Corporate office number and got ahold of Customer Relations. He said the parts comes from China which they no longer get but they had one in the office they can send me.
