Indeed, after 5 reviews of luthiers, the body seems to have a nitro lacquer for two of them will, 3 others think not. (Bizzare for geeks!)
I know this detail but Fender told me that there was no nitro finish this series in 2003.
It abyss lot anyway, being placed on a stand when I'm not playing, marks appear on the body and micro cracks in places.
At this rate, it will look quickly at a Road Worn except for the handle.
The frets are a bit marked but nothing serious at the moment.
It sounded good before, but with microphones equivalent to Fat 50, I find my happiness. :D

Hello, professional saw my guitar and asked if the original color was.
It is true that I have not seen the Classic 50s olympic white nowhere!
Fender had answered me that this color was produced nonetheless.
Does anyone have knowledge of other Classic 50s in this color?
From the photo, I asked Fat 50s and it sounds ... :D

I was not sure of the color name on mine, but now I know thanks.

Beautiful guitar but not a 50s Classic, you can tell us more about this Strat?
And photos of course!

Thank you for the kind words. I bought it new here in San Antonio in 1988. I was told that it was an American made model and since it does not say where its from I figured it to be true. Actually I would not know how to tell back then and it seems not much better now.

But what research I have done seems to point out that its MIJ with a serial number beginning with E and having 6 digits after, the first number is 8 which should mean 1988.

I became curious just lately due to not being able to find a pick guard that matched up with the screw holes on mine. Mine has a screw on the upper part of the guard between the first and second pup. And every other one I see has the screw just above the second pup.
I wanted a pearl pick guard to set it off a little but it was hard to find with my screw pattern. I finally did, and it says mine is an "old Style" Strat as in between 1959 and 1962.

Here is the link:

It has the Kahler Spyder tremolo with lock as well. I don't know what to make of it, its not all that important really, playing the beauty is though.

It's an 80's MIJ Contemporary Stratocaster in Vintage White.
