Does anyone on this site have videos of Lace Sensor pick noise? Is the noise coming from the Lace Sensors a Hisssing like the noise from a humbucker or is it just single coil noise? I'm thinking of removing the EMGs and installing Lace Sensor Gold's.

Lace Sensors do not make noise, unless they are wired up wrong, somehow. They either work or do not work. Your post is a little confusing. Do you have a Lace Sensor in the guitar or are you thinking of putting one in? Or are you asking simply how they sound???

I started a new MIM Standard Strat project and I was thinking of installing Lace Sensor Hot Gold pickups. I like how lace Sensor Golds Sound. I just wanted to know how quiet the are. I've played Lace Sensor Pickups on a Buddy Guy Strat many years ago. I remember the pickups sounded good and had great sustain but I do not remember what kind of noise they made. The Lace website says , " The signal to noise ratio is nothing short of phenomenal for a single coil pickup". Does this mean no 60 cycle hum or does it mean the pickup is just quiet for a single coil pick-up?

One of the best features of the Lace Sensors are that they are super quiet. They do not have the hum that is so common with single coil pickups and work great in a studio setting. The Lace Sensors were a whole new design of pickups—having a unique radiant field barrier system that surrounds both the coil and magnets, eliminating annoying 60-cycle hum. The patented Lace Micro Matrix Combs replace traditional bobbins, yielding a wider tonal range and better string balance than traditional pickups. The Gold Lace were the pickups of choice for years by Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and Buddy Guy on their Signature Series. They come in an assortment of Ks so you can get vintage tones or even fatter humbucking tone, depending on the type of Lace Sensor you use.
