Greetings,just trying to post a pic,not sure if itll work. A 79' Anniversary Strat. It has a few mods,probably reduced the resale,but Ive had this since new,and dont plan on selling any time soon. Swamp ash body,,,sustain galore on this,heavy to wear all night though. Mostly for recording these days. Thanks for looking,all the best. http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/Sound ... sort=6&o=0

How much does it weight?

Mine tipped the scales at nearly seventeen pounds!

:shock:

Hey guy,,Im not sure,,it has late 70's seymour duncan 1/4 lb magnet pu's in center/neck,and a paf reissue in bridge. swamp ash body,,probably 20+ lbs maybe. If you do 4 sets a night @ your local T-40 club,,by the middle of the 1st set,you want to switch to something lighter!LOL Its that heavy. BUT,,Ive not played a strat with the resonance,+ piano like sustain as this one,so for recording.nothing comes close to it. So the weight does have advantages. Thanks for looking. :D

Mine sounded great -- perhaps the "strattiest" Strat I've ever owned. But in my six years of ownership it never left my home, not even once. Ended up using it as trading fodder for a Gibson Historic Shop '62 Les Paul re-issue. I've never missed that boat anchor for a single microsecond.

:lol:

Mine had taken a somewhat circuitous route from Fullerton to me. Apparently it was shipped across the puddle at some point because there was a fancy decal on the reverse side of the headstock which read in German "Music World - Munich". The story I got from the salesclerk was, the guitar had once been owned by a member of the Scorpions. I have no way of validating his assertion but I do remember the spiel.

That would be a nice pc to have,I dig the scorpions. I have an old pre-CBS Twin reverb,,w/2 JBL-D120's in it. It was sold in North CA @ a local store,,turns out it was Huey Lewis Stage harmonica amp he used in the clubs in Marin Co/SF I think its a 62 or so,not sure,,cleanest tone amp on the planet ,IMO And no,its not for sale.LOL {kidding}

Gulp! That's like 4 lbs heavier than my double neck Strat!?!

And I used to think my '76 was heavy at a bit over 9 lbs.

@ retroverbial,,wow,,nice rig,,I like "Goldie" on the right side of pic. Nice, I use a stereo setup,On left OP of processors,the twin,and a 4-12 marshall cab,and the right side OP Roland JC-120,with another Marshall cab,and after some time + volume, theres no field mice left in my backyard for some reason,lol. But yea,Ive never really weighed the 79' but it does weigh more than a LP. But,it rings ,sustains like a piano,it has a brass nut also. Thanks for looking.

Well my current "stereo" rig (when I feel enthused enough to use one) now consists of a '64 Pro Amp and a '64 Vibroverb.

But I still have those TR's of course......

Thats a nice rig in your pic. I was reviewing the "Limited" edition amps here,Id like to have 4 of the 100wtt Supersonic 2/12 " Black gold editions" w/the 2 tone gold/black covering. I asked about one @ my local GC,,but they didnt have one. Im interested in those,,,and a few Rustic ash/seafoam green strats, We can only dream now cant we? lol Cheers!
