Hi there!

I traded an old $@!&#* metal guitar for a Stratocaster that I at least was told would be an Fender Stratocaster classic player 60's. Now I'm going to sell this guitar to get some money for some new gear but I'm not 100% sure about the model anymore. As far as I know a classic player 60's would have some text and stuff on the neckplate which this one don't have. Then I thought it maybe is a classic series 60's, but then again I noticed that the hole for adjusting the neck should be at the bottom of the neck instead of on top, as it is on my guitar.
Maybe it is a classic player 60's with the neckplate changed or maybe there was some guitars with this neckplate? I don't really know.

So now I'm totally confused of what model this really is...Hope to get some help on identifying this guitar. The Serial number is: MZ4222548 which shows it should be made between 2004-2005.

Here are som pictures of the guitar:

Hi supershit,

That looks like a Mexican Standard, year 2004 to 2005. Worth maybe about $250 used.

Yeah, that's a MIM Standard Strat, not a 60's reissue .

The Classic '60s uses a spaghetti logo on the head.

This MIM Standard has the transitional silver logo which was a standard feature on the series since 1992. Fender changed the decals to the black CBS-era types in 2008.
