I'm from Pakistan and I was searching the internet and found this guy from my country who is selling this USA made Fender. I just want to make sure if its a real fender or a fake copy. Also if the guitar is real what would be the perfect price for this guitar? as the guy is demanding 1000$ with the hardcase.
Thanks

I don't know the value on Pakistan but here in Canada / USA it worth no more than $900 probably because there are a lot in sale.

Surely it's a mid-to-late '90s American Standard.

This guitar was manufactured in 1996 as suggested by the N6 digits - undoubtedly one of the very last American Standards sporting the TBX circuit as Fender switched to the DeltaTone system the following year.

Looks legit to me. If for some reason it turns out to be fake (which I'm 99.9% sure it's not), I'd have to take my hat off to the counterfeiter.

It's a genuine 3-colour sunburst maple-neck American Standard Stratocaster from 1996, one of the last American Standards to sport a TBX tone control.

$700 with case wouldn't be a terrible price here in the states, although you can get them cheaper for sure. Overseas that sounds like a really good price. Also it looks legit to me as well

Nothing really to add - looks like a legit circa 1996/97 American Standard to me. Given the "N6xxxxxx" serial number but no "50th Anniversary of the Fender Company" medallion it's probably from early 1997.

As others have said this would go for between $600 and $700 here in the USA.

Looks real to me. In the US I would not pay more that $750 That year guitar had the "swimming pool route" under the pickguard and the 3 tone sunburst models had laminate wood vaneer on the top and back of the body. You can tell by the way the black color on the edge of the back is painted almost touching the tremolo coverand there are no visible seams since they are 3 or 4 piece bodies. The wood they used was most likely poplar and not alder or ash. The pickup pole pieces are not staggered either but I have played them and they sound really nice. The one you have pictured looks to be in great shape.

Yep. Looks real to me too. Looks like it's in great shape too, still has the plastic on the pickguard. And given your location, I'd say it's probably a fair price, although I am just speculating. Mint condition with original hard shell case for $1,000? I say go for it.
