Hi there

I bought the Haynes Stratocaster manual 2nd edition, and noticed that the Mexican standard Strat is not in it, only the Fat Mexican Strat.

Is there any difference between the two?

Also is there any other models of Strat in the manual I can compare to a Mexican Strat?

Thanks,
Lee

The mexican strat is just like all other strats the wiring and hardware are all about the same.
It requires a few different sizes allen wrenches like a 3/16 truss and the bridge saddles take a small metric instead of a .050 like an American.

The wiring is very close to American Standard also.

Did you have a certain question on how to do something?

Otherwise you can just go through and compare the item your trying to service with a picture.
Im sure you will find exact matches.
The stratocaster guitar was designed in the 50s so it wont be to complicated.
