I think I have posted pictures not good one but pictures all the same. I have been playing guitar for just over 4 years, I have been playing Harp since 1971 and I am a audio engineer by trade, I am 60 and having a blast. I own a entry level (can I say EPI here, oops I just did) double horned guitar that I upgraded with PAF 57 and 57 plus made a world of difference. Thought I needed something else, so on my 60th Birthday I bought this AM std Strat sienna burst, as the humbuckers are great, just could not get single coil tone, so now I have both and I am happy.
Now I been reading these post for a while and I see a lot of post complaining about the noisy 1,3,5 position. Here is what I have experienced. When I play the other guitar though any of my amps it is noise free (humbucker), When I play my new Strat though any of my solid state amps 1,3,5, can have noise if I am not standing at a certain position, but when I plug the Strat into my 69 SFSR and I dial up any position there is no noise what so ever no matter where I stand, bend or put the Strat, this combination of Fender and Fender seems to have magic in the tone. I also experienced that the bridge pick up is useless with the solid state amps as it is piercing, icy no matter what I do to the solid state amps, I use no FX just the amp reverb and some tremolo( vibrato fender calls it), again when I play through the SFSR the bridge pick up comes alive without the unwanted piercing, icy sound not sure why this is. Just saying.
My other guitar does not have trem and the strat does tried it a couple of time not sure what to do with it but I will work on that portion of the ax maybe it will click one day.
The big problem is I have to use the solid state more than the SFSR as the SR is just to loud for my household and neighbors, I work days and play at night. But when nobody's home but me or I am home during the day or weekends no one is safe.
Sorry for the essay.

The solution is readily apparent.

Find yourself a vintage Deluxe Reverb or Princeton Reverb.

yeah I keep looking but every time I find one on those auction sites I get out bid as I have to pass these expenses through congress  , and when it gets to much it gets vetoed, I do keep looking at garage sales, and I don't have an old uncle or relative that might have one in the attic
