I did it. I got a great deal on an American Standard Stratocaster today. The Fat 50's sound great and will be staying in the guitar. The only mod I might do is Fender Schaller locking tuners.

Congrats! She's a beauty. I installed Fender Deluxe Locking Tuners on the day I got my American Standard. It's perfect.
Enjoy.

Beautiful guitar, congrats on a great choice! :D I got one too, 2012, same finish. I put on the Fender Schaller locking tuners, a Callaham bridge block and springs, a base-plate on the bridge pup, and Schaller strap-lock buttons. The Fat '50s pups are great. 8)

A shot before any changes.

Very nice! I have a set of Fat 50's on the way to upgrade my 2011 AS Strat. Love the 3TSB on the alder body!

Shimmilou, I'm a rookie.. Can you explain the "base-plate" you mentioned above?
