ust remember, the injectors are not labeled as a Humbucker and shouldnt be. They are a different beast in tone, and overall feel.

Injectors are humbuckers.

There are housed in a single-coil sized format, that's the explanation! :D

Your guitar has an HSH configuration.

Just out of curiosity, do you ever play off the 67 alone? The reason I ask is (and as you know), the Injectors are quite aggressive, full and loud. This would lead me to believe that played by itself, the 67 is out of character by comparison.

Although it is mentioned below that this is essentially an HSH config, I would both agree and disagree. Yes, the Injectors neck and bridge have a hotter punch and fullness like a humbucker, but still the clean and quack of a single coil, and the 67 is just that, 1967 rolled into one pup! lol. If you are thinking of this pickguard for yourself, its worth the step in my opinion. I was actually beginning to miss my Les Paul sound until this pickguard. I feel like I have a Strat/LP combo in one. Just remember, the injectors are not labeled as a Humbucker and shouldnt be. They are a different beast in tone, and overall feel. If a Humbucker is a Tiger, then the Injectors are a Tiger...groomed very well!

Actually, and here's some food for thought: In my Strat, I have an Injector neck model in the bridge position, an Area 54 Pro in the middle position and an Area 67 in the neck position. For my stylings, I'm not really a big user of the "quack" positions and I've found this combination the most diverse yet compatible, one to another without losing any of the traditional sounds I require.

Martian.......Whats the difference between the HS4? The DiMarzio tech told me to use the HS4 if I was going to wire it in series and split modes. There would be a bigger difference in sound. Do you agree? In addition, in split mode, how do the HS4's compare with the modern stack.?

The HS-4 (Formerly the YJM) is an HS-3 with vintage staggered polepieces. It is a weak, bland pickup unless you play it through a cranked, powerful tube amp and/or with some OD, etc. pedals. It relies on either for any semblance of tonality. Of note is the fact that it is weaker than your typical Strat pickup. By "split", I presume you mean, grounding out one coil. Yes, there would be a huge difference in sound. It would become more trebly, weaker and of course, you'd lose the humbucking mode. As it uses Alnico V magnets, you'd have to be most careful with how close you adjust the pickup to the strings, especially with its 50s string stagger. In comparison to a "modern stack", there's no comparison where you'd do better with pretty much anything in the "modern stack", genre.

As always, this is merely IMO where YMMV.

Just wondering, what are the values for the pots + cap that came with the loaded pickguard?

The controls are 250K, the tone cap is .022mFd, and the treble bleed circuit on the volume control is a 560pF cap and 300K resistor.

I have the same setup in one of my strats jasonk931. The pickups are awesome. Fat and clear. I recently added a toneshaper to the mix too and am currently running it in series/parallel. The pups can virtually sound like anything ,which makes me not miss having my Seymour Duncan JBs in my arsenal alot less :D

I got the toneshaper as a gift and it has been the best gift ever :D I can try out all sorts of cap values, pup configs, and even a trble bleed ciruit switch... It saved me from burning my finger tips, showing off my lack luster soldering abilities
Next string change i think i might try out the bridge/neck pup tele sound
