I have 3 strats (Highway One, American Special and a Classic 70) that are really noisy. I'm getting a Bassman LTD at the end of july (store owner tells me that ican not get it before that) but there is no amp loop on it.

What do you suggest to use to cut the noise, i already have a BOSS NS-2 that is kind of cutting some noise but the only way for me to cut the noise is to turn down the volume on the guitars.

Any ideas on what to use or what to do?

Single coil guitars are noisy, but should not be outrageously so. Are you using a lot of effects?

If your guitars are noisy plugged directly into your amp, you're either in a very noisy electrical environment, or you're just sensitive to noise.

Eric Clapton and I both like our noiseless pickups. My personal preference is for Dimarzio Area humbucking pickups.

Give us some more details?

Lowerer the hights of the pickups. I've done this, and it seems to help a little (I live in a townhouse: a "eletrocal rich environment").

This will also give you better sustain because the magnets will have less pull on the strings.

Lead? Current amp? Bad effects unit? Too much distortion? Poor wiring in the house?

All are potential noise makers.

+1 on the DiMarzio's. I'd be lost without mine.
